Trip to Seattle, Washington – September 2020

Seattle is definitely an amazing place to visit. From the iconic space needle to Pike Place market where you have the original Starbucks, the city definitely has a lot to offer. We spent a little less than a week in Washington, trying to explore the state as much as possible. We traveled to the famous Mount Rainier albeit we couldn’t see too much due to the recent/on-going forest fires. However, we did manage to see downtown Seattle, pike place market, space needle and of course a bunch of excellent restaurants. Below you can find the places and restaurants we recommend in Seattle!

Places to see!

Space needle

The space needle in Seattle has some breathtaking views. Purchasing a ticket either online or on-site will take you all the way to the top of the tower giving you some amazing views of Seattle. Also, if you’re up for something more fun, you can walk down the stairs from the top of the tower to the revolving floor!! This glass floor actually does revolve and has a jaw-dropping view of the tower below. If you ever visit Seattle, space needle is a must visit spot!

Pike Place market/ Downtown Seattle

Simple put, if you have been to Seattle but have not been to pike place market, then you haven’t really seen all of Seattle! During out trip, we re-visited pike place multiple times since there was so much to see. From the many, many souvenir stores to the original Starbucks to french bakeries, the things to see at pike place is never-ending. The places within pike place that we can recommend are:
1. Original Starbucks
2. Simple Seattle souvenir store
3. Le Panier

Seattle Great Wheel

Located at pier 57, the great wheel in Seattle is the tallest Ferris wheel in the west coast. To get to ride the wheel, you will need to purchase tickets. Tickets at the great wheel cost $15 and are definitely worth it. You not only experience the fun of riding on a Ferris wheel but you also get a spectacular view of the Seattle skyline.
